WSA Engineering (2012) Ltd. is a progressive, civil, structural, engineering firm located in Castlegar, British
Columbia. The company principal, Mr. Dan Sahlstrom, P. Eng., is a long-time resident of the Kootenays,
and has been providing consulting services throughout British Columbia since 1989. The firm provides a
wide range of engineering, and technical expertise in the municipal resource and construction sectors.
The company maintains a core of professionals and technicians with a variety of experiences. Our
professionals have a strong engineering background, particularly in the fields of municipal, civil and
structural engineering. The firm has a comprehensive understanding of current technologies with academic
and practical backgrounds, which enable us to provide innovative, practical and cost effective solutions to
our clients.
Our civil engineering group provides expertise in municipal water and sewer systems, stormwater
management, subdivision design, pumps and process equipment, project management, and coordinating of
other professional disciplines. Our structural engineers serve the residential, commercial, and industrial
markets. In addition, the company maintains active memberships in technical and professional associations,
keeping abreast of technical advances through continuing education.
Our diversified multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving enables us to adapt to the rapidly changing
regulatory realities facing industries in British Columbia today. We have a thorough understanding of the
regulatory requirements and have successfully dealt with all levels of government. We will assist clients in
anticipating and effectively addressing the key issues during the process of obtaining permits.
