Christina Lake is a lake located along the Crowsnest Highway in the south-central area of British Columbia, which separates the Okanagan region from the West Kootenays. The lake is renowned as the “warmest tree-lined lake in Canada” and is one of Canada’s most popular lakes.

WSA Engineering Ltd. was approached by Danial Nocente to be the consulting Structural Engineer for the proposed single storey cabin in Christina Lake, BC. The original architectural drawings were completed by Miles Design of Vancouver, and required addition structural engineering for a building permit. WSA Engineering Ltd. were required to provide engineering plans and details for the foundation system, the framing members, and the shear wall layout. Christina Lake experiences wind loads which can exceed the limits of traditional framing and can negatively affect structures that will be exposed to the elements.

WSA Engineering Ltd. can provide clients with engineering solutions to variances in local building codes and/or weather conditions. We work closely with clients to provide specific drawings and details that are required for the project.
