DESCRIPTION:
In 2013 the City of Castlegar began an upgrade of their PRV station located on Columbia Avenue near 17th Street. The purpose of the upgrade was to eliminate confined spaces.
WSA Engineering (2012) Ltd. was retained by the City to provide engineering design and construction management services for the upgrade of this PRV Station. As this station is located on the City’s main thoroughfare it was important to make the station blend in with its surrounding while upgrading the piping, improving the quality and efficiency of the station and eliminating the confined space to give it a safe entry that is WorkSafe BC compliant. This PRV Station is now used by the City for a Christmas display in winter and by Communities in Bloom in the summer.
