Grandview Properties is a 100 lot community development located along the West Arm of Kootenay Lake in the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK). Development commenced in 1997 with the first 26 lots coming to market in 2002.
In 2005, approval was received to develop an additional 75 lots over eight phases.
Phase 3 (Lots 20-29) were registered in 2010. In addition to extending Mountainview Drive and the network of underground services, another Water Reservoir, Booster Station and a waste water treatment plant was required. The new water reservoir and Pumps Station were sized to supply water for the remaining 56 lots of Phases 3-8.
The new booster station was a cast in place concrete structure designed by WSA Engineering Ltd. It included two booster pumps, a recirculation system and controls to lift water from the lower reservoir to the new upper reservoir. Our tasks included:
- Determining size requirements
- Obtaining IHA and Provincial (CPCN) approvals
- Site Development & Underground Piping Design
- Mechanical Pipe Design
- Structural Design
- Construction Inspection
