DESCRIPTION:
The RDCK owns and operates a community complex in the City of Nelson. The complex includes a swimming pool, ice arena and exercise gym among other facilities. The RDCK requested proposals for renovation work to update the complex and implement improvements to the complex’s storm drainage.
In 2014, WSA was retained by Bruce Carscadden Architecture Ltd to be the lead consultant to provide civil engineering design and contract administration services for the rehabilitation and repair of the storm water drainage system. The project included the replacement of underground infiltration, rehabilitation of multiple catchbasins, and rebuilding of the storm water overflow system to mitigate flooding and resolve water ingress through the building foundation.
WSA provided the following services to the project:
- Prepared detailed design drawing for construction
- Preparation of MMCD format tender documents for civil scope of project
- Review tenders and recommend award
- Project Scheduling
- Construction management including inspections, change orders, and progress payments
- Quality Assurance
