The Centre Star Garage Development is located in Rossland BC Canada, central to downtown Rossland and Red Mountain Resort. The residences of Centre Star Apartments were in need of a series of carports that would provide a permanent solution to vehicular storage.
The project involved the structural design for the proposed 34’-2” x 29’-2” partial below grade, cast in place concrete garage with a suspended roof slab. WSA Engineering Ltd. had to consider a design that was easily accessible, practical in design, and durable for the significant snowfall that Rossland experiences. The multi bay garage consists of reinforced retaining walls, a continuous suspended slab
that encloses the structure and a concrete staircase
with access to the rooftop.
WSA Engineering Ltd. has vast experience with engineering concrete structures that have specific requirements based on the needs of the clients. We presented a design that was architecturally pleasing and would most importantly serve the residences of Centre Star.
